Marie Stopes Vietnam Clinics

Meaningful gift on the occasion of 8 March

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8 March, 9 MSV clinics in 8 provinces/cities across the whole country carried out the special preferential program “Free cervical cancer screening” for all women. The program was implemented from 1 to 15 March 2011.

Cervical cancer screening with VIA is a simple and quick procedure with many advantages: results are available right immediately after the test and are highly reliable (from 92% to 95%). This test can detect cervical cancer 7 to 10 years before cancer develops and can be performed during pregnancy.

During 2 weeks of this program, the Client Care Center 1900558882 received more than 1,000 calls enquiring for information and appointments. Nearly 2,000 clients received services in MSV clinics. The program was highly appreciated by the clients, community and other relevant agencies.

Targeting improved access and provision of advanced and high-quality RH care services, MSV staff and medical staff make their best efforts to address the RH needs of Vietnamese women, contributing to the achievement of social security targets for the country.
